There will be a common grade of 30 points for group work on the display. See the "Display Scoring Guide" below. There will be an individual grade of 60 points. See the "Individual Scoring Guide" below.
A part of your grade for this project will be scored as a group grade for the display and presentation prepared for the "Biome Conference". You will be graded in each of the following areas:
You will need to work as a team to plan and create this display. It should include posters or display boards, typed (or neatly printed) information lists, photos and/or drawings, graphs and charts, models (3-dimensional items) and student created maps or globes.

You will find the questions that you should be trying to answer listed on your individual role page. The teacher will also print out a copy of these for you. Refer to them often. Your grade will be based on how completely you answer them.
Besides answering the questions, you will also need to create at least two visual aids for your group presentation. These should include at least one table or graph that helps teach about one of the items that you have researched. (examples: average monthly temperature or rainfall, % of sunlight available to different ocean zones)
You will need to take good notes as you gather information. You should also make sure that you know the meaning of all of the bold-faced terms listed on your worksheet. These key terms have been placed there to help you investigate your topic.
